Palace Playground
In december I stopped by Palads for a trip down memory lane in spaces for realities and fictions: mom at Daddy’s Dancehall, arcade rooms in the basement, that movie about a mom going to prison which gave me nightmares, and a sculpture installation I used as a playground with other kids in the 90’s. What a bliss to a have a massive, closed facade in the middle of the city: through the cracks in the building, snippets of buttery popcorn and a deep bass find its way out into the streets and the plaza, creating stills of emotions.
